Here is an example of a forward looking project sent in by Ken Riaf, Gloucester, Mass, a former scalloper who gained wide acclaim some years ago for his penetrating observation, "if God is a scallop, we are all in trouble".

It is our considered opinion that advanced 'out of the shell' thinking such as this is exactly the kind of effort that will get us out of the routine exvessel to market cyclical ups and downs we have grown accustomed to. With technology such as this we have every right to expect to be able to demonstrate the feasibility of online tracking of the scallop from juvenile stage to gullet albeit in a retrospective manner. This will serve to elucidate some of the more obscure pertubations of one of our lowliest creatures during it's heretofore undocumented middle, late middle and old ages.
